The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering(SCCE)  originated from the polymer materials major established in 1957. It was one of the first bases to carry out polymer science and engineering scientific research and talent training after the founding of the People’s Republic of China. In November 2019,SCCE established independently.

It is an interdisciplinary, international and high-level research school, which is oriented to the major needs of national defense, with the application of chemical engineering and polymer materials as the main direction.
